I am a British writer living in Cambridge with my husband and our Labradoodle, Ruby. In my twenties I had three ‘chicklit’ novels published under my maiden name, Sarah Ball; Nine Months, Marry Me and Written in the Stars. These were published by Piatkus and relaunched as e-books by Piatkus Entice in 2012.
My books have been published in Australia, Russia, Norway, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Serbia.
After my third book was published I took a break from writing and home-educated my son for a while and once he was settled back in school I volunteered at a local country park for two years, eventually taking there as project manager and duty manager, where I stayed for eight years.
I continued to write in my spare time and had a children’s book called The Dream Theatre published as an e-book by Blackbird Digital, and in 2018 a YA novel published by Little, Brown called The Definition of Us.
Now my children are grown-up I’m writing another YA novel, and my first crime novel. I also work full time in conservation.
I’m passionate about nature, well-being and the benefits of connecting people to the outdoors. I love getting outdoors, wildlife photography and procrastinating with a good writing, nature or inspirational podcast.
